杜兰特在接受ESPN采访时表示自己曾担心过伤病恢复情况不理想而导致奥运会没法出战。

他说：“总是会有这种担忧，但我每天都看到了伤病的好转。你每天都得关注恢复情况，而我也知道我在做出某些动作或进行某些训练后感受如何，但我只是保持训练，并看看会发生什么。”

杜兰特此前遭遇小腿拉伤，缺席了球队训练以及美国男篮最近2场热身赛。
